"Cognitive changes are temporary and many women even report a clarity once they are through the menopause transition." Germaine Greer talked about "post-menopause zest". She began to notice a marked increase in energy and sharpness of mind post-menopause. I feel the same. Greer also wondered if it could be due to freedom from sexual distraction, having been a woman with a strong sexual drive all her life. With a release from that focus, she suspected her brain had more capacity to focus on subjects of interest beyond seducing men. How I wish she were alive today!
