I so deeply appreciate your work and this is not only stupendous news for all women, it’s a just validation of your efforts and your impact in this weary world.

What a fantastic story of how you sparked the flame for the donation! I hope this will be something we teach med students about, like you said, as symptoms of the past! Thank you for your continued dedication and passion!

"how we can make a difference in a patriarchal world that, quite frankly, doesn’t place the health of women in the same ballpark as the health of men"

This. So MUCH this. For so many centuries, medical conditions specific to women have been relegated to the blanket diagnosis of "hysteria" and then ignored, along with all the assumptions about illnesses that present differently in women than in men.

Finally! As a retired endo doc I’m thrilled you fought for our neglected patients! We need to keep spreading the word..

HUZZAH and well done! Love to see this, and love that you're taking some credit (women need to do that more often!). So glad you're in our corner, Dr Gunter :)

It seems that several issues that impact women throughout their lives are neglected by research and medical practicioners. Several communication issues are evident which includes listening.

Check out Wei-Chung Yang PhD, Taiwanese professor with lab test for endometriosis test you can follow to assess response to treatment.

And wow! Thank you for inspiring $50M towards endo research!!

I’m not sure that is validated in an evidence based way as it is not endorsed in the guidelines

It's new research/startup. More an FYI, there's cool research/tech happening.

Thats really cool Jen! I know it’s early, but it would be so great to add brief interventions for pain, like Stanford’s Empowered Relief classes. Maybe one day.

This is amazing news! I hope in my career/lifetime we see the same advances for endometrial care as cardiac/Gi/derm etc. (and more specialists! currently a 1-2 year wait in Ontario to see a endometriosis specialist never mind any procedures/interventions)

Also - in that golden - no gynaecologist will tell their patient that their pelvic pain will go away if they "stop having rough sex".

Thank you for continuously advocating for science for women’s health. I’ve been recently diagnosed with endo (+ adeno) at 38 yo, 13 years after symptoms being misdiagnosed as recurrent pancreatitis, and after a rather complex reproductive journey. Now awaiting surgery, this research is close to my heart. What is Canada doing for endo? Who is investing in research here?
