Thank you for the clarity on the article explaining language used in MHT as well as the other articles in this issue. When looking for an OB-Gyn who specialized in menopause, I came across the term "bioidentical" constantly, and I became a bit discouraged by what many providers were trying to sell me (estrogen pellets, compounded products, blood work, added hormones such as testosterone).

As a retired clinical pharmacist who worked for Big Pharma for over 25 years, I understand the term "evil Big Pharma", but I also understand the rigor of the efficacy and safety data that the FDA requires for drug approvals.

I realize you may not be comfortable doing this, but if you ever share the names of Drs that share your passion for evidence-based medicine in menopause, I would love to find a provider like you.

Lots of great information as usual. I am curious about one thing in the one link provided however, The Language of Menopause Hormone Therapy and Why It Matters, You state "Estradiol made by your body can kill you. It can give you breast cancer and endometrial cancer." So adding in estrogen in the form of a patch or gel would basically do the same thing? If so why would you put your own life at risk as you have stated you use a transdermal patch and oral progesterone?
