Dr. Jen - thanks for taking the time to explain all this - I haven't seen the movie or even ads for it, hoping that is a good thing. Since the exponential rise of dis and mis-information that started with the Orange One (DT) I have found similar levels of great angst and deep sadness each time something like this comes up. As someone who is not a doctor but is in the scientific field, it is exhausting doing the work needed sometimes to determine who is bullshitting and who is for real (esp when doctors and scientists spread BS). Without a doubt that work is necessary and I am committed to doing it... but unfortunately there seems to be a huge contingent of people who are inclined to sit back, choose the people they like (for whatever reason), and listen to whatever they say as if it is all facts all the time. So now that you've taken the time to put this together, on the off chance that someone likes you or any of us, your readers, perhaps we can help put accurate info out there for people to consume and in that way, make the world a better place. Keep fighting the good fight, you are not fighting alone and I appreciate you so much. Love from Texas (where the BS flows pretty deep these days)

I'm completely overwhelmed by the powerful advance of misinformation, particularly the loss of confidence in highly educated and ethical experts such as yourself our dear Dr. Gunter. Somewhere, somehow you are making a difference beyond us fans. I really need to know you're out there, because otherwise the cretins win.

This is very helpful, and takes me back to medical school and residency when I had a better command of the hormonal sine waves and incredible feedback loops that keep a cycle going.

As far as Ricki Lake goes, I have not given her much thought in the past two decades... and there are 1,034,652 movies and shows in my queue ahead of her movie mentioned here. Good to put this out there for her target audience, though!

I'm assuming that (like me) you worked and struggled mightily during the pandemic's worst days, and did not get to experience much of the "catching up on streaming content" that quarantined others did. Like "Tiger King." WTF is that?

Never heard of this movie. I guess that's a good thing...

What utter nonsense! -- but I'm talking to the proverbial choir here...

I think I learned about how the pill works in high school biology -- that was in the late 60s. Education in this country is sorely lacking. I learned that in my first job as an RN, a decade later...

So pharmaceutical companies are 'evil and money hungry', yet a company that charges over $300 for basically a thermometer and an app (while presenting flawed data) is.....empowering??? Kudos for watching it, I can't afford to lose any more brain cells!!

Yup, the hypocrisy is stunning

The Rikki Lake thing just reminded me of the very first edition of "Our Bodies Ourselves" where the Rhythm Method was illustrated with a picture of Pope John XXIII giving a papal blessing.
