As a new subscriber, thank you for reposting this. There is, as you noted, so much misinformation, disinformation, and outright lying in the supplement industry - and much of it current rather than in the relatively distant past - that such information is timely and necessary.
Thank you so much for reposting this. Another "favorite" example of elixers is "Radiothor," a name combining the God Thor and Radio, guaranteeing it would sell. Too bad about the radium based salts in it.
Could someone like Dr. Makary revoke approval for medications currently being used, like menopause hormone therapy drugs? I worry that the alternative medicine crowd think women should not be using hormone therapy.
I used to really enjoy reading your articles especially since diagnosed with POI. You have recently made your articles very political which definitely will deter many of your audience members from reading your articles and even taking you seriously. I am pro vax but red dye was just banned that has been known to be harmful for years. Maybe look at the positives of what a new view in medicine could bring instead of condemning it before even happening.
All good and that is your right. I will just get my information from the other providers that I follow that are able to educate without talking constantly about politics on either side. Have a great day.
I really appreciate the information in this type of post. Unfortunately medicine is political when politicians have the power to affect the kind of health care citizens receive.
The health of Americans hasn’t been good with the allowance of toxic cancer-causing chemicals in our foods and everyday products. This could change. You can ALWAYS find positives if you choose to look. I always find this in all candidates and offices. But some aren’t able to have that kind of perspective.
Can the same be said for vitamin supplements or are those generally innocuous? I’ve have 3 different people this month recommend I start taking magnesium gluconate supplements, and I’m wondering if this is just the latest fad.

There is worry that he will do that to mifepristone. He can potentially impact any medication, but it will be harder to do that to some.

Medicine is political and I have always been up front about the importance of speaking out.

I’m having trouble finding the positives with RFK. What are they?
Seems we never learn… sadly
