I would be unelectable as I would come off as too mean! But happy to advise.

😂😭 You ain’t got nothing on Putin, Kim Jong Un or Rodrigo Duterte 😉 Besides, there is a difference between being fed-up with the status quo and being “mean”.

Considering the male equivalent of being ‘straight-forward & blunt’, might plausibly be “driven, intelligent, & progressive” - ALL of which you are dear one.

Thank you. This "debate" was completely useless. Why bother if they aren't going to call Trump out on his blatant lies?

Apparently, the candidates both agreed to no fact checking. But you can't debate a liar. So it's really pointless.

Thank you for this excellent column! How can adults fall for the "9 month abortion" nonsense? Has anyone ever had a neighbor, co-worker, or relative who was 9 months pregnant and suddenly appeared un-pregnant and without a baby and was like, "No worries! I just had an abortion! Definitely not a tragic event - nope, totally voluntary! I am not bereaved even a tiny bit!"

Just one more note: I once followed up on the Interweb on a "live-birth abortion" story and it turned out to be induced labor of a non-viable fetus in Ireland. The baby lived briefly, then died. Perhaps the baby received palliative care; I don't remember. But the point is that apparently, "terminating" a pregnancy in other countries' terminology can mean either what we would call an abortion (resulting in no live birth) or inducing labor (literally ending a pregnancy, possibly resulting in a live birth). But of course the pro-forced birth warriors conflated everything. Ugh.

Please send this to the CA governor and his posse. And to the Biden campaign. And to the media. And to the rest of the United States. And to the world... And might as well send it to those aliens as well.

Why doesn't one politician come back with examples of the 3rd trimester abortion for anencephaly (no brain) or Potter's syndrome ( no kidneys)? Are we supposed to pretend that everything is ok and wait for her to deliver at term? I think these ALWAYS lethal birth defects are the majority of the very few abortions within the third trimester. For the life of the mother in a preterm situation, we induce labor the patient has the baby, and the NICU takes over. It kills me that OUR politicians don't push back hard on this BS.

I think they are afraid to say the word abortion

They need to get over themselves. It's healthcare

In Texas, the neonatal death rate has increased because women are now forced to deliver the anencephalics & Potter's etc. The antis don't care about that, and some are probably not happy that all they get is palliative care instead of resusitation.

I am glad you included this information. I hope every American woman (and thankfully I do not have to throw my ballot in Trump's face) was listening. I had a hard time getting my head around an abortion after 9 months??

Thank you for this excellent article. As a colleague in another specialty, I did not know the statistics on late term abortions. Awful debate, Trump looking worse and worse.
