This is super helpful. What still confuses me, though, is how step count interacts with other forms of exercise. I do either strength training or cardio (bike, rower) usually 5 days a week, and just get whatever steps I get during the day (usually in the 4K range). I'd have to work at getting more steps, which I'm willing to do, but is the thinking to get the steps as well as whatever other exercise regimen you're doing?
